Well the time is coming near. I've been hard at work preparing gift boxes & baskets for the Christmas Season. I have every weekend in November booked for Christmas shows. I love doing shows... they are so exciting seeing so many people in one place, shopping and checking out all of the other vendors. I especially like the events that come during the holidays like Pumpkin fest or Down Home Christmas shows, it's such a great way to get out and enjoy the season. You never know what kind of original art you will find out there. I've met so many creative and talented people at these shows, it's amazing. It's nice to give a gift that you know will be original and also to support your local artisan. Check out my new Events Calendar on the website to see where I will be.

Blogg'n it
Well, look at me will you! Gettn' down with the people. This is going to be great. I've always kept journals etc. and now I can just put it out there for everyone to read. My husband will also appreciate this, since I talk incessantly about my business. I always have a million ideas.
I want to use this forum to discuss what's going on with Harbourtown Soap Co. (my store - on line and bricks and mortar), and the challenges and issues that I come across as a new business owner. My first endeavour outside of the set up of the website and store is advertising. As a new business owner, of course money is limited, so I have to think a little more outside of the box. My first areas were to advertise on Kijiji and Craig's list. I've hooked up with some fantastic local ladies who also have their own business and we've been taking it on the road with The Perfect Party. Our first gig was in Aylmer Ontario. It was quite successful so we are going to go to Tillsonburg next hopefully booking something for the week after Thanksgiving. I will keep you updated.
